Japan’s NHK airs encore special on SNSD with additional footage

Japan’s broadcasting network NHK recently decided to air an encore special on SNSD!

Universal Music Japan updated SNSD’s official homepage on July 11th by writing, “NHK has decided to air an encore special on their ‘M Presents SNSD Special’. The special received a lot of love when it first aired last month, and the show has been receiving much requests for another airing.”

The ‘SNSD Special’ aired in early June and featured clips of the girls promoting in Japan, in addition to interviews and other behind-the-scenes footage.

Representatives continued, “The ‘SNSD Special’ will release more never-before-seen clips which will bring an additional 18 minutes of air time. We ask that viewers – both new and from the past airing – not miss the new special.”

Taecyeon reveals Boyfriend’s Youngmin and Kwangmin were once JYPE trainees

Recently, 2PM’s Taecyeon revealed his close relations to Boyfriend twins, Youngmin and Kwangmin.

On the July 15th broadcast of KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank‘, 2PM came in first place for the third week in a row, and thus received the honorary triple crown award. While 2PM performed their encore stage, fans noted that Taecyeon playfully put the twins in a headlock, which generated quite the buzz. As it turns out, the twins were once former JYP Entertainment trainees!

Later on the same day, Taecyeon tweeted, “Thank you for [awarding us with] the #1 spot on ‘Music Bank’! Thank you to those who made our 3rd week win possible. 2PM’s “Hands Up” promotional activities will soon be over… Youngmin and Kwangmin were trainees with us when we were trainees as well. During the encore [performance], I brought them along but it was very awkward… Hyung is sorry.”

In response, netizens commented, “The JYPE trainees are a part of a wonderful network”, “It seemed like you were going to kidnap those kids”, “You must have been happy that you both participated in a show together”, and “Park Jin Young must have had another stomachache.”

Who knew that the Boyfriend twins were former JYPE trainees?

What's on Harry Potter's iPod?

With the stateside debut of the final "Harry Potter" film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," this Friday (July 15), HP fanatics are asking themselves, "What do we do now?" As for us here at, after sitting through seven (and soon to be eight) Potter films that featured regal yet haunting musical scores by John Williams and Alexandre Desplat (among others), we're left wondering what Harry's main jam is. The songs that pumped him up for the big Quidditch matches, or gave him the strength to face He Who Shall Not Be Named -- or at least what he listened to while trudging through his Defense Against the Dark Arts homework.

We're putting aside the fact that in J.K. Rowling's books, Harry was born in 1980, not pinning down his musical choices to any specific era. Read on to hear a choice (and telling) selection of songs from the iPods of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and Draco Malfoy, or at least what we imagine them to be.

The series' title character copes with not only puberty, but brushes with death and the dark side (ie, Voldemort) looming around every corner he turns. Add that on to the fact that Potter's still sorting out his parents' death, his rough childhood with the Dursleys, and, well, the fact that he's the most famous wizard in the world, and he's got a hefty chip on his shoulder. And we expect his musical tastes reflect that, with plenty of moody, and at times completely brooding, rock through the decades.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony Break Up

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are splitting after seven years of marriage.

In a joint statement to People, the music stars announce, "We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters."

The statement continues, "It is a painful time for all involved, and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time."

Lopez and Anthony married in Beverly Hills in June 2004, and have two children together, three-year-old twins Emme and Max. Lopez previously married Ojani Noa in 1997 and Cris Judd in 2001.

Lopez released "Love?", her first full-length album in three years, last May, and is currently in talks to return to "American Idol" after serving as a judge for the show's 10th season. Anthony, who released "Iconos" in 2010, performed "Aguanile" on the "Idol" finale alongside Lopez last May.

It remains unknown whether or not Lopez and Anthony will move forward with "Q'Viva! The Chosen," a Latin music reality show the couple was developing with "Idol" executive producer Simon Fuller.
